Hope United Worship

The past few months have seen a lot of changes to the worship here at Hope United. New singers, new songs and new opportunities for growth. It's an exciting time across the church as a whole. God is really changing people's hearts, healing and setting them free through knowing the truth and letting it all go during the worship.

As a worship team we've tried so many ways to cultivate the right environment for people to become connected and open to God. What we believe we have been learning is that there is no formula for an awesome worship experience. The more you try to control the factors, the less God seems to be part of it. Yes, we strive to be relevant, contemporary and risk taking. Yes, we want to be excellent on the musical side of things... but without trusting God to do the real work on people's hearts, it's a pointless exercise. We have dropped this manufactured approach to worship and placed our trust in God to perform what we can't! In essence: we'll do our bit and God'll do his.

It has to be said that worship isn't limited to once or twice a week in a hot room with lots of other people. Worship is a way of life - Ephesians 5:20 ''Giving thanks always for all things to God...'' God has been all over the worship sessions the past couple of months and we think this is down to the congregation really living this lifestyle of praise & thanks giving. Thanks to the people of Hope United for tirelessly seeking God and bringing that same heart with them to the services. Thanks to God for all that He has done, is doing and is going to do in the months ahead!
